Inaugural Lecture Prof. Dr. Christian Freudlsperger
On 15 April 2025, Prof. Dr. Christian Freudlsperger gave his inaugural lecture at ETH Zurich. The topic of the lecture was "The European Reinsurance of the Nation-State?". New Paper out in the Journal of European Public Policy
Max Heermann has published a new article co-authored with Sharon Baute and Dirk Leuffen (both University of Konstanz) in the Journal of European Public Policy.
New paper out in the European Journal of Political Research
Prof. Christian Freudlsperger and Martin Weinrich (University Osnabrück) published an article in the European Journal of Political Research. Titled "Varieties of pro-Europeanism?", it analyzes party positions in the 2009, 2014, 2019, and 2024 European elections. The paper shows that pro-EU parties have developed distinct positions, especially on redistribution and solidarity. Two new postdoctoral researchers in the MLP group: Marta Migliorati and Max Heermann
The Research Group on Multilevel Politics welcomes two new postdoctoral researchers starting 1 January 2025. Dr. Marta Migliorati, with experience at the University of Malta, European University Institute and Hertie School, holds a PhD from the University of Milan. She will work on EU policy implementation in the SNSF-DFG project "IMPLEMENT.EU". Dr. Max Heermann, with a PhD from the University of Konstanz, joins the "EUROPE RE" project, analyzing public reinsurance in the EU.
Two new PhD researchers in the MLP group: Elisa Paepcke and Quido Haskovec
The Research Group on Multilevel Politics welcomes two new PhD researchers, starting 1 September 2024. Elisa Paepcke joins from the University of Mannheim where she completed her Masters in Political Science. Quido Haskovec is a graduate of the Masters in Comparative and International Studies at ETH and the University of Zurich. Both Elisa and Quido will conduct their doctoral research as part of the project “Public Reinsurance in Multilevel Polities” which is funded by an SNSF Starting Grant.
