Max Heermann

Max Heermann is a postdoctoral researcher in the SNSF project “Public Reinsurance in Multilevel Polities (EUROPE RE)”, analysing preferences towards transboundary risk management in the European Union.

Before joining ETH, Max Heermann was a postdoctoral researcher at the Cluster of Excellence “The Politics of Inequality” at the University of Konstanz. He received his PhD from the Department of Politics and Public Administration at the University of Konstanz.

Max Heermann’s research interests lie in European integration, EU policy-making, digital policy as well as in international solidarity and public opinion towards international cooperation. His research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, including the British Journal of Political Science, European Journal of Political Research, Journal of European Public Policy, European Union Politics, JCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, German Politics, Swiss Political Science Review and NPJ: Vaccines.
