Dr. Marta Migliorati is a researcher at ETH Zürich, where she contributes to the SNSF-DFG project IMPLEMENT.EU, focusing on the implementationof EU policies carried out jointly by EU agencies and national administrations. Her expertise lies in European Union governance, politics, and integration, with a particular emphasis on multi-level policy implementation, legislative oversight, and differentiated integration.
Before joining ETH Zürich, Dr. Migliorati was a Lecturer at the University of Malta, where she taught courses on European integration, world politics, EU asylum and immigration law, and comparative federalism. She has held research positions at leading institutions, including the European University Institute in Florence and the Hertie School in Berlin, and has participated in internationally recognized research projects such as Horizon 2020 InDivEU.
Dr. Migliorati’s work has been widely published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of European Public Policy, Comparative Political Studies, European Union Politics, Regulation and Governance, the Journal of Public Policy, West European Politics, the Journal of Common Market Studies and the International Review of Public Policy. Her recent research explores topics such as Nordic defense policy shifts, European Parliament oversight, executive delegation dynamics in the EU and the evolving role of EU agencies in multilevel governance.
Dr. Migliorati holds a PhD in Political Studies from the University of Milan, an MSc in European Public Policy from University College London, and a BA in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Pavia.
