Paula Mühl

Paula is a research assistant in the EUROPE RE project and currently enrolled as a master's student in the MACIS master's programme at ETH and the University of Zurich. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the Heinrich-Heine University of Düsseldorf and therefore contributes an interdisciplinary perspective on political issues. Her own research interests focus on institutional reforms and strategies that equip multi-level institutions such as the European Union to partake in an effective response to the rise of hybrid regimes and the shift to the right in its member states. This research interest is driven by the broad interest in how we can safeguard fundamental democratic values (within the EU) and what role international institutions can play in the process.
