Start of SNSF Starting Grant EUROPE RE

The research project "Public Reinsurance in Multilevel Polities (EUROPE RE)", awarded to Prof. Christian Freudlsperger, kicks off on 1 April 2024. The five-​year project is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) with 1.8 million CHF. It seeks to develop a novel understanding of the European Union as a provider of "public reinsurance" against transboundary risks such as military conflict, pandemics, and climate change.
